Our final day in Dorset was almost a wash-out. The heavy rainy and heavier skies, and lack of light, meant there was only one thing to do - go out for lunch, and locally. Burton Bradstock seemed the obvious choice, and we had three places to choose from, all previously visited and all tempting. We opted for The Anchor. We have been before, although it's changed hands since.
We went in. We drank beer. We ate a seafood platter - this between the two of us
We just about ate it all
All of it (just about)
I love a seafood platter. This was no exception. It was unusual, because they gave it an Asian twist, which we both appreciated. Mind you, it's hard work eating your way through that. We weren't fit for much else for the rest of the gloomy rainy day, although we did a flying visit to the rather lovely Washingpool Farm Shop
We spent the late afternoon and evening vegetating in front of the TV, and the woodburner.
