I was very cynical about the faux outrage, and thought a lot of this 'turn your avatar green' was posturing; taking a position not because most of them actually cared about democracy in Iran, but because they were playing the game of "My enemy's enemy's enemy is my enemy".
Whereas to cast doubt on the elections in Afghanistan will just raise to many questions about why we have been slaughtering so many civilians for so many years.
