Why can't the FA exercise a modicum of common sense. Clearly, when the FA Cup Semi was Arsenal-Tottenham, Wembley was the obvious venue.
But I have just done a National Rail Enquiries search and it is not possible to travel from Manchester to Cardiff in time for that Semi. It is just about possible to do it from Newcastle. Mind you, if the trains run on time they will have less than half an hour to get from the station and into the ground. And be faced with a seven hour train journey back.
I cannot find a flight from either city to Cardiff.
Story is, hotels in Cardiff have already doubled - if not more - their prices for that weekend.
Shouldn't the FA Challenge Cup committee be, you know, shot or something...
