Regular readers will know that I am not a fan of TV adverts. I very rarely watch them - one of the main advantages of Sky+. I particular do not like any TV adverts that attempt to make you feel guilty or inadequate, or suggest that the key to happiness lies in their product, or that some frippery is essential to your social status.
As I write this I am watching the Railway Children, the real original one, where Jenny Agutter is Bobbie, not the remake we watched at Christmas, where she is Mother, which is remarkably good for a remake, although the original is still one of the great films!
I had to sit through the advert break. And I saw this.
Seems it's been around for a while, and award-nominated, and I also notice that the iconic Hovis ad from the 70s has been voted the most popular ever.
