We went for a really nice walk this afternoon. Nothing too strenuous, I can't do strenuous, and in total we were out of the house for about four hours.
But psychologically so important. Get away from the dreary depressing being inside doing very little. Get out into the light and the air, get the heart pumping and the adrenaline flowing.
Only to Richmond. It was a bit tedious walking down the shopping street, feeling pity and compassion for those poor people compelled to spend their Saturday afternoons in relentless shopping*. But we eventually got to the river, and there were a fair number of people with the same idea as us, just a nice stroll in the afternoon sunshine, mild temperatures, no one being in the slightest bit rude, obnoxious or annoying.
It's nice to be out walking, it doesn't cost the earth (literally or figuratively), and it makes you feel good. I took a few photos, which are now queued for processing. The one below is probably one of the worst I took but it has left me puzzled. We were in Richmond and this building was on the Twickenham side of the river, but I can't work out from the A-Z or the internet what it is. This is only a section, it does spread for quite a way along the river.
