The next "Wild Woman" listed on my t-shirt.
From the Seven Year Itch. I think all women have adopted this pose at one time or other...
I assume that everybody has heard of her. Is that a reasonable assumption. I have this sense that intelligent educated people have a corpus of knowledge and in the 'popular culture' subsection, everyone should know of Marilyn Monroe.

She married three times, two of her husbands died just last year.
She was just 36 when she died, long before I was born. Was it an overdose of barbiturates or did one of the Kennedys murder her?
I shan't write any more. Come on, you know everything you need to know about her, and it's not like there's a shortage of information on the web. She even has her own website
Wild Woman? I don't think so. Unhappy and abused, definitely. It seems that the person who designed my t-shirt is more interested in victims, whereas I want my Wild Women to be strong, independent sorts who broke barriers.
