Our weekly opinion notice board on the intranet asked last week what steps we as individuals were taking to prevent our IDs being stolen eg buying a shredder, refraining from shopping online, redirecting the post after moving or nothing at all.

Bought a Shredder now I need Splinter, Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello and Raphael to help me stop him taking over the world!On a more serious note: I also shred all correspondence (makes it easier to put in the envelope although rather more difficult for the recipient to read) and always use my wifes credit card for my numerous online purchases.
Someone else says shes puts all her shredded paper onto the compost heap. I am surprised at this - I wouldn't have thought it would biodegrade so quickly. Any expertise out there? In fact, anybody got any good idea about composters, because that is what Jimmy is getting for his birthday?
