I always know that Christmas is on the way when you see three references to it. Usually around August bank holiday, although I have noticed in recent years people have been talking organising office-parties and relative visiting/avoidance in July.
The office I am auditing this week is directly opposite a Christmas shop. it is most disconcerting when, standing outside smoking, to see a reindeer flashing its lights on-and-off and trees and Santa on display.
Boots the Chemist is offering a Christmas Savings Card.
And two of the 247 spam emails I deleted this evening mentioned Christmas in their titles.
