I am writing this 22 years after launching my blog, and several years since I regularly updated it.
It remains one of my most enjoyable accomplishments and was the Gateway to so much more enjoyment. Realistically though, I've been kidding myself that I might get back to doing it again - I just won't.
But I have no intention of junking it, and I still want to show off my photos, and to more than just the handful of friends who regularly check their FB feed.
- So, I've set up a public FB page, Gert's Photos which I intend to update 3 times daily (by scheduling) with randomly selected photos, the very best of which I shall add to more permanent albums on FB.
- I've set up a separate Photoblog, which, broadly, will mirror the FB page. It's still under construction.
- From there, I shall link to the relevant photo album on the sidebar here. This will include 'new' albums as and when.
I'm including no pictures of identifiable people - family and friends, public figures or random strangers. I will include people who happen to be in the background or the distance or in some other way they aren't the focus of the picture.
PS In case you were wondering I'm still very much deeply in love with My Hero, Plácido Domingo. Unfortunately I haven't seen him in a while; he doesn't really appear in Britain & I don't really travel abroad. But I will, and a major part of my life is dominated by music.
