Actually, I have a confession. I had been out for a curry and got back just as the 'delayed live' broadcast was beginning. I came over all tired, which was exacerbated by the small quantities of wine I had had with dinner. So I had to rewind on the Sky+. So it was delayed delayed live.

I enjoyed it from the comfort of my sofa, and thought that all the performers were at least of a satisfactory standard. There was nothing in the programme that really attracted me beforehand, and nothing about the performances that changed that view. Glad it was on, glad I watched it, glad I didn't fork out to go in person.
