I popped into my local Carphone Warehouse branch and explained my dilemma - that I need a replacement handset but would like an upgrade, paying the difference if not too exorbitant. He aid that shouldn't be a problem, I could get a Blackberry, but because of the type of area the shop is in*, they don't carry the full range of stock. He advised me to go to Streatham or Brixton. I asked how much would I be likely to have to pay; he said it depends on how long I have been a customer and been paying. I said I have been a customer since 2002. He said that's a long time.
This is somewhat different from what I was told on the phone...
I shall go to Streatham or Brixton after United v Liverpool live on the TV. My finger nails are doomed, doomed, I say
