It's over...

That was gorgeous. I spent most of the second half with my binoculars fixed on Placido. He's so unbelievably gorgeous but also so fascinating to watch, with such interesting facial expressions even when the action isn't focussed on him. We had a substitute Iphigenie after the interval - at least I think it was only after the interval, like I was paying that much attention to the sop. There had been an announcement beforehand but I didn't understand it - well, enough to know it wasn't the announcement I dread. More anon.
