Is it just me or is it completely obvious that this article has been inspired by yours truly? firstly, the suggestion I stole from Opera-L and put to Rolando, and secondly, the renaming of Tosca as Cavaradossi...except that I (nearly) always rename operas to reflect the tenor lead...heck, I have been known to refer to Mozart's 'Don Basilio' and 'Don Ottavio'.
Not actual much substance in the article, though...
