Chart topping singer songwriter Katie Melua joins world-famous tenor Plácido Domingo at the M.E.N Arena on Wednesday 2 May. Katie, who wowed M.E.N Arena audiences in January 2006, joins the Spanish tenor on stage at his only UK show of 2007 for a very special guest appearance. Katie will perform three of her best- known songs and duet with the maestro in this unique collaboration of classical and modern music.
I asked those around me who Katie Melua is, what she sounds like, because she's barely even a name to me. I was given the following responses:

I hope she is additional to, rather than instead of, Virginia Tola. (According to Jimmy, Plácido needs two women to prop him up nowadays; I say Jimmy is just jealous)
