He has a new CD out. Dear reliable Rolando, always brings out a new CD for my birthday!
So for the fourth year running I have ordered a Rolando CD, even though this morning I opened two DVDs (Luisa Miller and La fille du regiment) and three CDs (Simon Keenlyside, Anna Netrebko, and Martin, the teenage love of my life playing organ).
Actually, I ordered the CD-with-bonus-DVD. Being three pounds more, it tipped me into Free Super Saver Delivery, saving me £1.50 in postage.
And there's a mini-site, including a twelve minute video-clip featuring footage from the recording session and interviews with the Rolando and the conductor, who's been known to sing a few zarzuela arias himself...!
