Rob over at EKN
reminds me of two ambiguous captions on BBC News this week.
Leaving the building during the Six O'Clock News Hour, my attention was drawn by a caption saying "Blair Talks". My first instant was "ooh, is Tony spilling the beans" and wondering how apt would be "Blair Coughs..." but I was confused by a picture of someone looking more Japanese than Blairite, then realised I had read "Noun Verb" rather then their intention of "Adjective Noun". I pondered it.
Last night, I had a similar one with "Offenders Row". My first thought was Henley Regatta, followed swiftly by "Is that like Death Row...?"
But Rob's are better.
