The internet can be so informative...
Tesco acknowledges that promotion of first and second baby milk (infant formula) is illegal, but does not say it will take any action to stop the recurring promotions of these products in its stores.Tesco ignores the ban on promotion of follow-on milks contained in the Code and falsely claims that these products can be both promoted and demonstrated in store.
Tesco Ely Axe Free Bus Service
When Tesco moved from its Broad Street premises (also relocating its popular Market Street Home and Wear store a few years later) to its larger store in Angel Drove, Tesco always maintained it would provide a free bus shuttle for those without access to transport. The majority of people who use it are elderly and dont have their own transport.
When the supervisor arrived, I had paid for my goods and the packing was almost complete. Her name was Alison, but she did not greet me or even introduce herself. (Alison wore a badge with no surname or designation of position). Instead, she commenced and then conducted the conversation with me from behind the check out assistant, in full hearing of the rest of the queue that was forming at the rear. This again made me feel like she did not have very good interpersonal skills either. It was difficult for me to see her properly or even make eye contact, as many of you know I am disabled and in a wheel chair. She seemed to have no idea how she made me feel, as I had to look up to her all the time.
Tesco - what customer service?
What a gang of smug jobs-worths the TESCO CUSTOMER SERVICE TEAM are. I would have got more joy from talking to a brick wall. Not one of them was in a position to make a decision.
Tesco passes the buck on vegetarian error
Can anyone explain to me what the bold red paragraph actually means? It seems to be written in Tesco-Speak rather than English. I think they're saying it's someone else's fault?
When I complained to Tesco about a slug in my salad, the response was iffy. Now they have replied again, and this time it beggars belief.
Correspondents had raised concerns about the actual origin of mange tout
sold in Tesco from Zimbabwe. It was their suspicion that the mange-tout
was grown on land seized from its owners by the Mugabe regime. If this
were to be the case then Tesco would, de facto, be subsidizing and
endorsing Mugabe's theft of land, his destruction of his country's economy
and his impoverishment of the Zimbabwean people. The occupation of land by
Mugabe's thugs is not only contrary to universally accepted standards on
human rights but is, in most areas, even illegal under Mugabe's own twisted
laws.Your Ms Shearer's reaction to this charge showed an astonishing lack of
insight and of sensitivity. She wrote: 'we work with four suppliers who
are all involved with the government at the highest level.' I cannot
believe that there is another organization of the size of Tesco in Europe
or beyond that has actually boasted of its links to Mugabe's ZANU regime in
five years or more
Passing those savings back to shoppers
Tesco have promised to cut petrol prices I can confirm they have not lowered the price of petrol in Slough. It is still 95p a litre. They have openly lied in the press.
TESCO - Flowers Online Review by Sarah Allonby
The flowers for my Grandmother's 80th birthday arrived looking tired and the next day had wilted so that they were only fit for the bin. Tesco customer service were not concerned about this at all - when asked what they would do to restore our confidence they said they would send a replacement bunch - which they did - but no apology and no gesture to make up for the upset caused. Have since written to "customer services" a week ago - still no reply. Don't use them.
Supermarkets stocking wheat & gluten free products in the UK
We contacted Tesco customer service and this is what they said: "The free from list can only be accessed if you are able to shop online and even with that, it will only show the products that are available in that particular store." Pointing out that it wasn't acceptable or helpful to people with food allergies didn't make any difference.
All the own label soya drink products are non-GMO. The value is an organic product and the flavouring is a natural flavouring of vegetable origin. If we can help you further in the future, please don't hesitate to contact us.
