I'm well excited. Just over two weeks til Opening Night at Covent Garden. Even sooner until the Dress Rehearsal and even sooner still until the Crossover Classical Brits.
The Guardian has an article about Cyrano de Bergerac and its composer, Franco Alfano.
And an interview with Pláci in the Independent, by Jessica - actually, a rehash of the one for "About the House" but with added detail.
He'll be appearing at the Classical Brits awards ceremony on 4 May, where besides accepting the award he will sing extracts from his newest recording, Italia Ti Amo.
Hmm, I've listened to this album a couple of times, and, to be honest, if it wasn't for The Voice, I'd discard it. Indeed, I nearly wrote, "And this is what I've paid good money for, on a Local Election night, too..." but I know you would think I was complaining too much!
