I went to the hairdressers today.
I had a lot of thoughts while I was there. It's conducive to that. Although I read while my dye's cooking, and I chat with the staff, they don't tend to talk incessantly, because they want to concentrate on the job. And when the dryer's going, chatting isn't that easy.
I had all sorts of profound thoughts that would make an excellent blog post. Observations on human nature, reflections on myself.
But all I can remember is - would it be very silly to book a session with the hairdresser to teach me how to dry my own hair. And why have I never learnt how to blowdry my own hair? And why I have never thought about this before? And why don't I ever book a hair appointment specifically for a wash and blow-dry.
Told you it was profound, didn't I?
