I have spent twenty-five years studiously - and extremely knowledgably - eschewing cricket. It is now as much a matter of principle as anything. Why is it that people keep asking me whether I'm going to Trafalgar Sqaure? I'm a football fan and I like rugby. I understand cricket. But I am not going to Trafalgar Square.
