Thank goodness, the Premiership starts this weekend. Those few weeks without proper football just isn't worth living...
Predictions: Chelsea will buy the title, with the other three Euro places going to the big Red Teams. Relegated: Sunderland, West Ham and Wigan.
Not very imaginative...!
Manchester United's Player of the Season will be Ole Gunnar Solskjaer (who sits on my PC monitor at work), just ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo. Young player to watch, if he's half as good a footballer as he looks, Guiseppe Rossi... For an 18-year old. Agggh, he was born a few days after I realised that most of the Manchester United team 'Fergie's Fledgelings' were younger than me. Blimey, Fergie was already United manager when Rossi was born...
Before I know it, I'll be collecting me pension...
Bizarrely, all those three are February-born.
Another player I shall be watching closely is Gabriel Heinze. I hope he reaches his potential this season, if he does, he will be stunning. Otherwise, he'll be out.
And Giggs and Keane will be vital cogs.
I'm so excited. I watched the match at home to Debrecen on Tuesday. Nice comfy win, but I'm not sure we ever really got going. Ronaldo was excellent. Van Nistelrooy looked strong, now he just needs to get into the box, and he might start scoring...
Prediction for tomorrow. Everton will beat us 2-1.
12.45 on PremPlus. I hate Saturday lunchtime football. It interferes with the natural order of things.
Saturday lunchtime update: Not watching the match. Considering I already pay nearly £50 a month for SkyTV I resent paying another £7 for the dubious pleasure of listening to over-hyped semi-articulate halfwit tossers (Tyler and Gray) and that 'whoosh' that sends me homicidal.
