I've got a bit bored going round t'internet ticking people off for saying "Don't like that guy, he was in the Hitler Youth". At the age of 14. I do notthink it's relevant, but Jeanne says
he shows that he's still unwilling to face the complexity of moral choice. Whatever understandable lack of physical courage he displayed as a teenager is trumped a thousand times over by moral cowardice today.
I am not sure that I fully understand it, and will have to re-read it. But it's intellectually lazy to say "Don't like that guy, he was in the Hitler Youth" and leave it at that.
