I was utterly flabbergasted at the news that today Tony has asked Queenie to dissolve Parliament next week.
Even more flabberghasted that the election is called for 5 May.
I don't suppose there will be much formal national electioneering until after Parliament dissolves, but the party activists will be out in force from now on - have already been.
As promised, I will be blogging the Election. Next week, I will be looking into ishoos, and some events from the media election. This week I shall write a few thoughts on elections and voting in a sort of non-partisan way.
But this won't be politics all the way. Between now and then, I shall be going to four operas - well, three operas and a musical, and four concerts.
There is the minor matter of an FA Cup Semi Final. Oh dear, I've just realised that Bowyer and Dyer will be suspended from the Newcastle team to face Manchester United. Come on, you Reds.
Papal Funeral, Royal Wedding
And there will probably be other...stuff...too. Cos in the end, blogging's about stuff.
