For the 159. I feel kind of privileged it's holding out so long. We will need to have a wake in Wetherspoons (local for the Bus Garage).
When I was a child, two aunts (and uncles) and nine cousins lived in Thornton Heath. Indeed, my very first holiday was to Forn'oneaf. My father's uncle lived in St John's Wood. The 159 ran from Croydon to St John's Wood.
Sometime in the Eighties, the 159 got a whole portion chopped off and renamed the 139. It just ran to Baker Street. And then it started at Forn'oneaf Pond. Then it got truncated to Streatham Garage, which is no longer a garage. In theory. It often stops short at Brixton Garage, which is, actually, in Streatham.
28 January 2006. But I'm sure we'll see more-and-more two door buses between then and now. And I guess it will be the right time for me to change my life.
