Why do I keep reading reviews that say that Waking the Dead is insane and illogical?
Is it perhaps because it us unpredictable and unformulaic? May I venture to suggest that that makes it just a little bit like real life? And thus, credible.
You know I love it. I've barely missed an episode in the four or five years it's been showing. It kind of crept up and warmly embraced me.
And to this day, it remains, to my knowledge the only TV programme to acknowledge the existence of Central Government Auditors. Okay, that was the least believable part of the entire series, but, my god, we were talking about it for days afterwards.
And, like Second Sight (Clive Owen) and Judge John Deed (Martin Shaw), as well as being absorbing, entertaining drama, has the incidental added bonus of starring a genuine eye-candy hunk that can act (Trevor Eve).
