Thatcher protests coup innocence. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy. Let's hope Mummy-dearest is desperately upset at the plight of Mummy's Boy and suffers a relapse.
Who didn't hope that they'd misheard 'Mark Thatcher'.
Don't get me wrong, I'm all in favour of the demise of repressive dictators, but I don't suppose for a moment that Thatcher and cronies were (allegedly) carrying out a contract on behalf of Amnesty International.
There was something in the New Statesman a few months ago about how the hawks are circling over Equatorial Guinea, a country rich in reserves of oil that makes petrol, and a population of just half a million.
It will end up being the first nation actually owned by a multi-national, IMO.
