When they beat Portugal in the opening match I had a feeling that they would do something. It was like France 98, when I kept saying that France were going to win, and the lads kept patronising me, explaining that, as a girl, I knew nothing. But they went on and won!
They started out at 41/1 to win, now they're at 2/1. Imagine...
Not that I'm a gambler or anything...!
But I think I will put a tenner on the boy wonder to score first on Sunday.
And now I've got to decide whether to back a team for the Copa America. Obviously Brazil and Argentina are the favourites, but I'm looking for a good team that isn't quite the Big Two. Any thoughts?
