Elgar

I like Elgar, I know I do. I was brought up on Elgar. I have a CD, part of my four box set of English composers. It includes the Cockaigne Overture, Introduction and Allegro for Strings, Serenade for String Orchestra and Enigma Variations. Admittedly it was on whilst I was reading through the archive posts of a Yahoo Group I have just joined. But., still, the only piece that stirred me was Nimrod.

Ah well, another time.

Incidentally, regarding Dissing Delius, my mother mentioned on the phone last night that my father hated Delius.
