I have to say, the chavs round here are still wearing shellsuits, and leggings with white stilettos.
Of this list, I have worn
- leggings - which, actually, are fabulous for slobbing round the house, and most people I know have sworn by them when pregnant
- white stilettos - I had a pair of three-inch white stilettos when I was a bridesmaid to my sister; I changed into canvas pumps as soon as the sit-down bit was over; one of my cousins, yes, Ginny, it's you I'm thinking about, thought my white stilettos hilarious
- bodies with poppers - guilty, I'm afraid, But it was a nice satin and old lace body that looked just fab
- shoulder pads - was it possible to buy a suit in the early to mid nineties without shoulder pads?
- stonewash jeans - I had a pair in the late Eighties
- dungarees - yup, very early eighties, though...
Oh god, I was a walking fashion catastrophe.
