As a student I had a real love of Deacon Blue. I have three of their albums in my collection. I always feel they never received the credit they deserved, and seemed to fall into an unjust Middle-of-the-Road category. A story from Mr D reminded me of one of Deacon Blue's most hauntingly inspiring songs - Dignity
And I'll sail her up the west coast
Through villages and towns
I'll be on my holidays
They'll be doing their rounds
They'll ask me how I got her I'll say "I saved my money"
They'll say isn't she pretty that ship called Dignity
