Two unrelated blog posts have been a little in line with my own thinking of late. Not as morbid as it seems.
Mr. D has a funny story about music at a funeral, which is strange because yesterday I was thinking, what music do I want at my funeral? For quite a while I have fancied Going Underground by The Jam, although perhaps Eternal Flame by The Bangles has a more appropriate title. But musically and lyrically I prefer Going Underground.
Do you have any suggestions? And if anybody suggests Celine Dion's My Heart Will Go On, I will find out where you live, buy a sawn-off from a dodgy geezer in a pub, come round your place and personally ensure that you don't have time to plan your own funeral - your heart will not go on because you will, in fact, be dead
Meanwhile, Ale Fan (no permalinks, it's Tuesday 27th January) has a discussion on how we mark the eventual - and ever more imminent - demise of Thatch. My line has always been champers round my place. But there are alternatives.
