The ethics of execution

When I see articles like this in the BBC Magazine, I know with absolute certainty that if the BBC didn't exist we would have to invent it.

I can't imagine a philosopher exploring the moral dilemma of executing Saddam on Sky, somehow. What, admit that things are often not black and white? Don't want to confuse the readers/viewers now, do we.
