The other day I wrote about Tourists. Grrr.
Today I was in the same Boots, the same place. Again a single file was forming for adjacent tills. I was second in the queue. Again the right hand till cleared and a bloke went up to it, out of sequence with the queue. I said to the bloke in front of me, "I thought we were forming one single queue." He looked at me entirely blankly and I realised he was a foreigner (he paid with a Eurostar voucher). So, he had failed in the other part of queuing - barge in front of the bargers.
To add insult to injury the barging bloke queried something about his change (in fairness, he had been under-charged). The woman on that till didn't know what to do, so the man on my till had to tell her. When he had finally explained he had forgotten that I asked to pay with my points (there was a long queue at the Cash Machine), so had to void out my purchase.
Grrr.
