You know that bit when you wake up in the morning and fear checking out the news. How clearly do I remember the despondency of four years ago, the horrible realistion that the Other Lots had done a deal and were hellbent set on undoing all the good work.

Interesting that when an election is fought on local issues, and on the performance of the incumbent Tory Liberals, the voters somehow get the answer right. I think I shall be sending a text or two my wonderful council leader. Once upon a time he was my protegé...A long time ago!
Gosh, I remember 1994, when the whole country was going red - even Croydon, I remember clearly - and Labour lost Lambeth (we won it back in 1998).
Nothing if not perverse, Lambeth Council!
You know, it's probably time I started writing my memoirs. I'm no longer a recently-ex councillor. I'm a footnote to the appendix of history.
