This seems to be a recurring search request recently.
There is absolutely not one whatsoever.
During the week, a lot of people wear what they've been wearing to work. Or, if they're students, academics, part-timers, retired, etc, anything. At the weekends, people wear what they wear at the weekends.
I have seen people dressed up to the nines. I have seen people in shorts and t-shirts. I would say the majority are casual smart, with the emphasis on the casual rather than the smart.
The most important aspect is layers. When it's hot outside it gets very hot in the Albert Hall. when it's cool outside, it gets very hot in the Albert Hall, and then you have to leave at 10 or 10.30 pm and travel home.
I would suggest lightweight trousers or skirt, with a t-shirt, or light blouse/shirt. If it's not a heatwave outside, a cardy and/or fleece, and maybe a brolly, are probably a good idea for the homeward journey. If it's a heatwave, I would suggest that a fan, proper or makeshift, and a bottle of water are essential accessories.
Bags bigger than a briefcase have to be checked in downstairs. No doubt, security will have been subtly stepped up following last week's major incidents on London Transport.
Here is probably the best picture I have of Prommers. Dress code much the same elsewhere in the hall.
