No, not at the same time!
Having no expertise in either, I would be curious to know answers.
Driving - last year when we holidayed in Scotland, we flew up and hired a car. One of the many reasons was that our car is automatic, and Jimmy, who learnt to drive before I was born feels it is much easier to control a car, especially on steep hills (up or down) with a manual.
My friend Nick, whose family also did Scotland last year said rubbish, modern automatic don't have the control problems of old ones. Jimmy mentioned tonight he would love to go off-roading, but not in a Chelsea Tank - it would have to be in a proper Jeep or working Land Rover, because of manual transmission. What do you think, and to what extent is your view educated and informed?
Childbirth - every time that childbirth is shown on TV, in fiction or documentary, except for anthroplogical documentary, women are always shown lying on their back, with legs up, often in stirrups. Yet I understand that the best position for giving birth - as illustrated in anthropological documentaries - is by squatting.
Have you or your partner given birth (non-Caesar, obviously) in recent years? What position did you choose? Were you given a choice, or advice, in the matter?
