I'm sorry, but I feel underwhelmed. Maybe I'm just becoming old and cynical, but I think that Rooney's Man Utd career will take more than a year to lift off, then he will fizz for a couple of seasons, and then he'll get sold to a Second Division Team.
Although, to be honest, with a frontline of Van Nistelrooy, Scholes, Saha, Smith, and Rooney, with Giggs and Ronaldo on the wings, we'll just need Rio Ferdinand in defence, Scholes in midfield, and perm one other from the talent available, and a goalie and we'll be well sorted!
