Interesting little piece. I would treat the stats with extreme caution. It's interesting to see that a small proportion of Dorises and Mavises male insurance claims, but if we're going to generalise, I expect that most Dorises and Mavises put in low mileage, leaving the long distance driving to, er, Archie and Ernest. Actually, Archie and Ernest probably only pootle around town with the occasional <100-mile-round trip for a day out.
Sam, Phil and Rob are probably putting in the miles as Mondeo Man, as are Juliet, Natalie and Justine.
I would suggest that the more miles you drive per year, the more likelihood you have of being in accident, regardless of your standard of driving.
