It's been a slightly strange day today. I decided to work at home in order to finish off a report (it being the end of the quarter and all that...). It's not finished yet. Additionally, I had to pop to Brixton to buy my nephew's birthday present, the posting of which is complicated by tomorrow's Postal Strike, about which there is, disgracefully, not a mention on the Royal Mail's site.
I entirely forgot about the Leader's Speech, which I would normally watch if I happen to be home. Oh well, I suppose I can catch the Paxman treatment later. Next week's Tory Party conference should be fun - despite the Government being unpopular even among the Labour Party, let alone the Press and General Public, the Tories will doubtlessly demonstrate how hopelessly out of touch they are with reality, whilst making unfunded promises on public spending and simultaneously vowing to cut taxes.
And I'm trying not to think about reproductive issues - I've been here before building my hopes up only to have them dashed. (But thanks for all your comments and emails!)
