If you listen to The Today programme, what do you do during Thought For The Day?
Do you agree that it should be removed from our airwaves, notwithstanding people like Richard Harris, Bishop of Oxford, the chap from The Iona Community and yesterday's return of Rabbi Lionel Blue?
I find most of the rest of the contributors to be gratingly twee, or intolerant, or smug, or hectoring. They rarely actually talk about religion. Jonathan Sachs did once - it was stunning. Mainly they attempt to tell some sort of parable on one of the news stories of the day. Usually incredibly simplistically.
I generally take the opportunity either to attend to my bowels or to disappear into the shower.
