I was going to post a rant along the lines (slowly, obviously) of "Isn't this bloody typical of Britain, we get temperatures which are normal for most of the rest of the world and only we have to slow our trains down."
But my train-spotting colleague has informed me that it is standard practice in most countires to slow the trains down. Not perhaps in France, where safety is not a high consideration, but many other countries.
So I need to rant about the inability of journalists to research basic facts, and how they make a story out of a non-story. Amateurs.
I don't think it will affect my line which, I don't think exceeds ten miles an hour in any point of its journey.
