Britain's 'earliest' prehistoric cave art
Jolly good stuff. I always feel we are a little lacking in pre-history.
"The art is partially obscured by 1940s graffiti" says the Beeb website.
Were they thick or something in the 40s? I mean, you go in a cave, you see some pictures, you decide they're rubbish, and you draw over them, never pausing to think that, perhaps, fame and fortune could be yours if only you mention them to a passing historian.
Don't assume that educational standards have gone down hill!
