My weekend - we went to trendy upmarket 3 Monkeys at Herne Hill. We had already been to the Satay Bar where I had two Original Gin Slings. At the 3 Monkeys we had two bottles of a South African Chenin Blanc, and Irish coffee and Irish whiskey.
I would highly recommend the food and ambience at the restaurant. They messed up on our order, forgetting our starters, but gave us complementary ice-cream. We will be going back but at very little change from £100 it will be for a treat rather than because we fancy a curry!
Saturday we thought that if the weather was good we would go to Richmond, but then we realised that the Boat Race might get in the way. Instead we decided to go to Dulwich Park because neither of us has ever been. But, we lay in until 2 pm, and went off to Il Ponte (formerly Ferrari's) at Crystal Palace. I had a big big big tuna pizza, quarter of which is sitting in my fridge! Also a bottle of Chianti and three Irish coffees (each). Later, much snoring was audible from the sofa.
