This came to my attention when I was flipping through the headlines on O2 WAP. As well as the threatening to ban 'coloured people' from shopping centres, the same judge in a different case had pronounced that all the people driving in Ireland without a licence (and, therefore, without insurance) were Nigerian.
First of all, I would like to say that I do not in any way condone generalisations about people based on their race.
However, I will make some observations. When I was in Sixth Form, there was universal horror that one of our friends was driving unaccompanied without having passed her driving test. She could not see that it was a problem. She happened to be Irish.
Some years later there was a report on the TV about the shortage of driving examiners in Ireland and the long waits for driving tests. They came up with a statistic that something like half a million people in Ireland drive without having passed their test (which is roughly the same as in the UK, but out of a population less than a tenth).
So all the Nigerian-Irish driving round without licences have obviously gone native.
