We're feeling a little smug* here. Back in March 2005 we named Plácido Domingo the world's greatest tenor and now this month, the good people at the Classical BRIT Awards have presented our hero with a Lifetime Achievement Award. As you'll read in our BRITs night report, he was genuinely overcome by the recognition and clearly feels a strong bond with the British public. It just makes you love the guy even more.
Inside, the interviewer just drools. And so would I...!
* But I thought smugness was Classic FM Corporate Policy, anyway. Or are they claiming they discovered him...?
