It's pretty pathetic, really. Everyone has a List, right. His list is Paula Radcliffe, and all of Adiemus. Paula was on the front of last week's Radio Times; Paula is dominating our telly on Sunday. And that's cool. I suggest if he wants to lose to his post-giving-up-smoking weight gain, he aims for the London Marathon next April, because *Paula* will be running. I'm encouraging that.
My list is Plácido. No one else. Yes, I like Trevor Eve as Supt. Boyd. Yes, think Cristiano Ronaldo is one helluva footballer. But neither is on The List. Not on the 'I'd Jeopardise our Relationship for A Shag' List. Everyone has to have The List. By having The List, you safeguard The Relationship...
Fiancé gets jealous. Yesterday's delPrado DVD is Samson & Delilah, from San Francisco 19 Eighty something. (The next one is Plácido in Aida - oy vey). I haven't viewed it yet. But I showed Fiancé the booklet, showing hunky Plácido not over-dressed. Fiancé makes disparaging comments about legs. I don't understand why. I say, said Hunk was instructed to give up football at age 60; I'd like to see fiancé play football at age 56, let alone 60. Some stupid comment about millionaires being allowed to do what they want, obsequiously. I suggest Cast vs Orchestra is not a friendly fixture. Makes Hand-in-Hand vs Sultan (my Road's annual grudge match) look like the Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy. Although nothing beats the NAO's Unit B vs The Rest of the World match - which was ace to witness on the morning after just for the injuries....
Tell me, Ladies in particular, what is more manly - the one who gives up football at 60 on doctor's insurer's orders or the one who gives it the mouth at 56, that Sultan vs Hand is too easy for his fine physique?
Post smoking giving up, we are still in negotiations about Diet Tactics. It's P1 or P2 - run a London Marathon, or cut back on alcohol and desserts.
Y'know Fiancé is jealous of Plácido. I'm not jealous of Paula. I want Paula to win Gold.
Did you know that the Olympic Classical Album features Plácido and Adiemus?
Did you also know that the sun has sunk over the yard-arm?
