This simply isn't as good as it ought to be. Just refer to my post on George Michael's Greatest Hits, and you will appreciate that I really like George Michael.
This album contains some wonderful tracks, especially Father Figure, One More Try and Kissing a Fool. I have actually played it three times. Once with Jimmy. We both agreed that George Michael is a great singer. And we're not using the word 'great' lightly. An artist and a mensch.
I am trying to work out whether it's a case of the Emperoro's New Clothes, or the misfortune of listening to a cassette-taped-from vinyl. Or maybe what mood I'm in. But, much to my surprise, when I go to tot up the scores at the end of blogging all my records (by forty), this will not be featuring in any Hall of Fame.
