The last few days have been fairly hectic. I spent two days away in Winchester for a staff conference. Exciting stuff - not. Lessons learned:
- The Freedom of Information Act will remove marginalia from Official Documents. Marginalia is where the wry comments and searing insights sit
- Auditing is about people, not data
- 90% of communication is non-verbal
Mother arrived on Friday, not without drama, of course and stayed until this morning. Is matricide legal? It's just that, seeing as she neither likes nor respects me, I'm not sure that I have an obligation to like or respect her. And she talks non-stop. It's not even conversation. It's an unrelenting cascade of verbal diarrhoea, including interrupting and talking over me.
On Friday night the three of us went to La Rondine at Covent Garden. And I survived. Last night Jimmy and I went to kd lang at Hammersmith Apollo. I'm out again tonight but reviews will follow in due course.
