Do check out Jag's picture of London Transport new Club Class bus. On Route 79, anyway. I can't see them coming to Route 417 anytime soon.
There is a thought amongst m'colleagues that these new buses should have a buffet area with a trolley service of drinks and light refreshments. Furthermore, London Buses ought to operate class discimination, with specially roped-off areas out of bounds to oiks and smelly people.
