Lizard
I spied this emerging from the hedgerow at Loch Katrine.
Having photographed it, I saw a couple with their pre-teen daughter approaching, so I put my finger over my lips to signify 'hush'. They were so busy shouting that the lizard ran away.
Ah well, their loss, if they're so ignorant they can't be bothered to observe the wonders of nature.
I have been told subsequently that these are not native to Britain!
